<Livebox Issues? ~ 3rd party wireless connection problems SOLVED!

I have finally solved the problems I have had trying to use a 3rd party wireless card (D-Link).
I set the security option within configuration-advanced-wireless to 'WPA security only', which I hadn't tried before, and...IT WORKED
I guess the D-Link card/software/laptop was confused with the 'WPA or WEP security' setting. All my devices are WPA so, touch wood, everything will now be hunky-dory
Hope this might help others sort their own connection problems.
By the way, this was done with dynamic IP address.
