Have had my Wii for over six months and never been able to connect online through my Orange livebox.
On searching the problem through google I dropped onto a site that advised me to change my livebox settings to WEP security only, on doing this my internet to laptop connection collapsed and I had numerous issues to try to get back online, eventually succeeding through re-inserting livebox cd etc.
On another site it advised changing the Wii security settings to WEP when entering my livebox password which also proved unsuccessful.
Another one informed me that I should change the channel number in the livebox configuration, which I did, again without success.
Please can you help solve this issue, really pulling my hair out here, its starting to really brass me off as I've obtained numerous games with online capabilities, doh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you changed your livebox settings to WEP, did you do it through a wired connection?
What I had to do for Not only the Wii, but also 2 DS's was change the setting to WEP only using a wired connection because it knocked my wireless connection out completely.
Once the Wii and DS's were able to connect once, I then re-set the livebox to WEP and WPA using the wiredconnection I made using my laptop, and all machines were able to connect.
Didn't do it through a wired connection but have now decided to save messin around am getting a wii lan adaptor and just connecting the wii directly to the livebox, should then be happy days, fingers crossed
