Hi,
I have 3 machines that are having problems connecting wirelessly to my livebox (which has firmware v5.10.7-uk on it). Wired works OK it is wireless that is causing problems. The box has Easy Pairing enabled with a pairing time of 10 mins. For each machine I have tried to connect which the livebox is in pairing mode and I have retried after a factory reset of the livebox. I have also tried connecting with the livebox set to a different channel each time I have problems.
The main machine I want to connect is one running Windows XP (with Service Pack 2) using the Inventel USB wireless network adapter. For this the initial setup wont work. It finds the livebox and I enter the key but then it fails to connect and tells me the likely causing is the incorrect key or the livebox in not being in pairing mode. I have doubled checked both of these and still cannot establish a connection.
The other two machines are ones I am going to get rid of but tried just to see what the outcome was. Both are running Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4. One has the Inventel adapter and one has a third party adapter. Both of these do connect but then seem to go into a cycle of being disconnected and reconnected every 40 seconds or so.
As I say, my main aim is to get the XP machine connected wirelessly. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. If you need any further info then let me know.
