I have Orange home max and originally got terrible speeds of 3 to 3.2Kbps which was lower than I was getting using my linksys router so I did some registry tweaks and got it up to a pretty steady 6 and 6.5Kbps.
At the weekend I removed the ring wire from my main box and all extensions. Since doing that my upload speed has gone up from 0.2 to 0.5Kbps but my download speed is all over the place.
Also my Attainable download rate (kbps): has jumped to 10343 and my sync speed seems to have changed from 8128 to 8061.
Has anyone got any idea what’s happening here please as I thought that Orange upload speeds were set lower than I am getting.
What I would rather have is lower upload speeds and constant good download speeds
I added the line stats as they are now and would be grateful for any thoughts that people might have. I am just learning about things so hope this all makes sense and forgive me if I am being a bit thick it just seems odd to me.
