Ok, so if you have a look at my previous thread you will see the problems I have had with Orange broadband !! So finally after 4 months my broadband is working - on and off. I have spent over £100 in call charges, so I wrote to Orange and at the time I had spent £88 in call charges and had no internet connection for 3 months.
The response was a £60 refund for my calls and £10 for the loss of my internet connection. A massive insult I am sure you will agree. To top this off the letter arrived on the 22nd Feb and still no refund, an advisor has confirmed I should receive this on the 13th March, another 3 weeks. I am so angry and upset with Orange and feel frustrated that they do not take genuine complaints seriously, I know the loss of my internet connection was due to their fault as my PC was checked out and found to be fine......can any one suggest how I can escalate this complaint and get the compensation I deserve ??? All I would like is my call charge costs back plus the cost of the loss of my connection, its not asking much is it !!!

You could try writing to Mike Newnham Vice President Orange Home at the registered office in St Albans and tell him your problems. He is too important to lower himself to write back but your letter will be passed to the Executive Office in Darlington to action and hopefully they will eventually offer to refund your additional costs. It is also worth copying any correspondence to the Newnham if only to keep the Executive Office on its toes.
I was eventually promised a refund of call charges and dial up costs although I'm still waiting for it - another letter to Newnham on its way if it doesn't turn up soon.
Good luck - and take my advice leave Orange for anyone else - I went t BT who doubled my connection speed and have been OK.
