Hi, considering a move to Max with home phone. Unlimited Broadband has been fine and I assume this will be unchanged.
But I want to know whether there are any issues with home phone (provided by OHCSII, Serviços de Internet LDA, Rua de São Francisco No 3, 2 Andar, 9000-050 Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. Company no. 07529/2005.08.22.)
I gave up with the Livebox and VOIP which was terrible. I assume the home phone will be serviceable. Cheers for any comments.

Your home phone service should be unchanged in terms of quality; it remains a standard BT line in every way except that the account is taken over by Orange.
I've been using Home Max since October, and it's proved to be worthwhile. I do use the VOIP service through a Livebox, but certainly the quality is often poor when making calls at peak times (i.e. when download speeds are poor).
Be very careful about the call prices they increase them every month it seems and hide the details in the small print. For example you sign up to 18 months contract then they alter all the terms and if you don't complain and leave within a short time you lose your right to leave and they can raise prices etc completely at their whim and from my experience they will do just that. They really want reporting to trading standards. The service technically works ok but if you have a fault on your line they are totally USELESS!
