I had the Wanadoo 8mb upgrade and it has been work fine (altough only at a max 6mb). Just over 3 weeks ago it all started to go wrong. Occassionally I'm connected but most of the time not. My experience with tech support is the same as everyone else's here, that is, vague and not really helpful. I want to change to Talk Talk to get their deal (anyone want to talk me out of this?) but have been told by Orange that my line fault will give them difficulties too so to change providers won't solve my problem. Is this bs?

If its an issue with your line, then wether you are with Talk Talk, BT or Orange , your going to get exactly the same problem so what technical support are telling you is correct .... for once
as for Talk Talk ive heard a few bad things about them, mainly that you have to pay for your equipments and setup cutting in to what appears to be a good deal
