I have just received my Livebox and after struggling for a while I have managed to set up two wired PCs. It took a while because I had set my IP addresses to fixed values for my home network. No problems once they were set to automatic.
My problem now is that I want to connect one of the PCs wirelessly and I have hit a brick wall. When I look at the networks available I see the Livebox at the top of the list with a big red cross and the comment "The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network". I have tried resetting the adapter but this did not help. I can't identify what or where the 'settings' are that it is referring to. This PC is a laptop and my daughter uses it wirelessly at her Uni so I know it works.

What worked for me is where it says The Settings saved on this computer don't match..etc.. " On the left.. Should be a " Manage Wireless Networks "
Remove it from the laptop.. And try reconnecting again..

Remove faulty network from the laptop.. And try reconnecting again..

Hope this solves your issue.
It's on the left in the network and sharing centre which can be found in the control panel. As azasmith said remove it and you can them go through and setup the connection again, you'll need to re-enter the key for this.
In that case it's got settings stored for no security. Remove it as mentioned above and resetup the connection and all should be well.
Thanks for the advice. I have fixed it now but only after a factory reset on the Livebox. As you both advised I removed it and set it up again - several times, but each time it said that my network settings were wrong. It would still work if I removed all security from the Livebox so this convinced me that the problem was with the Livebox not accepting the WEP number. After a factory reset it worked first time.
Perhaps you can help me with another little problem. After visiting some links from here I have set up the laptop running Vista to print through the Livebox successfully, but my desktop running XP will not. The port settings on both PCs are the same but the XP machine sends the print but never prints.
Any suggestions?

This was a pain in the backside for me, but i got it sorted on XP.
Copied this from another website:
Step one: add printer manually - do not detect it.
Step 2: create new port
Step 3: select TCP/IP port
Step 4: enter 192.168.1.1
Step 5: wait till windows cant detect the port properly, then choose HP Jet direct from the list. What i did here was go to print server, worked for me
Step 6: choose the printer driver and all is fine and dandy!
