Please guys help!
I am experiencing problems with sudden connection drops for over a week now.
The @ ligth on the livebox is flashing slow then fast, then stops for a few seconds and again. The status I get is synchronisation in progress or invalid adsl authentication, which is VALID. Contacted Orange tech support , they ran the line test, the result is the same. They say the broadband line is fine. At the moment I have a connection but it can drop anytime like it is dropping for the past week.
Maybe it is the BT phone line? Though the telephone is working fine, I don't know it drives me crazy.
I tried the set up, but reset sometimes help sometimes does not, tried to swap filters, still same.
How can I find the reason?
Any advice is appreciated

Tried plugging directly into the main BT linebox with nothing else plugged in ? Better still, if the box has a removable lower half, unscrew it and plug the livebox into the test socket. Monitor that connection for as long as you can. If it stays connected, it's a problem on your side of the BT linebox.

Telephones are usually less prone to problems than broadband due to, on the rate adaptive services, the connection being pushed to the limit and because of the type of signals it uses.
Try the sockets as nhyder suggests and see if that works any better.
