Ok then. usual problem PPP server down etc etc. Im not interested in getting my livebox running again as it wont. Ive had enough. Anytime i get i working it stops after half an hour. Ive given up.
Anyway Ive seen numerous posts saying use an old modem. Thats want to try now but have no idea how to get it working. I have a speedtouch 330. Ive downloaded and installed the latest drivers. I use network setup wizard entering my Orange username and password etc etc. Get 2 green lights but it still wont connect. Can someone please give me a step by step guide on how to get connected using my old modem. I apologise in advance if this is somewhere else in the forum but i cant find it anywhere.
most likely is the same as PPP Server down, few things you should try though
Try livebox again but factory reset it by disconnecting power pressing and holding down number one (On livebox) and pluggin power back into it simulataneously, when seeing 3 red lighs on Livebox let go of number 1. Re-enter username and password and see what happens, if Status is still PPP Server down, ring tech and ask for a line test to be done.
If line tests have already be done then ask Orange to get intouch with BT Wholesale about the Problem who will most likely send an engineer to your local exchange to get it fixed.
There should not be as many PPP server down problems as there was an update applied to resolve this, clearly it is not working properly, however it maybe an isolated issue.
