Hi, I've been on up to 8mb for months now and only ever got up to around 3.5mb, I've tried going straight into the master socket with no difference to stats.
ADSL firmware version : A2pBT009c1.d17d
Connection mode : G.DMT
Type : Fast
Noise margin (dB) : 16.4
Attenuation (dB) : 9.0
Attainable download rate (kbps) : 11168
ADSL status : Connected [0]
Downstream Upstream
Rate (kbps) 8128 288
Does attainable download rate 11168 suggest I should be getting faster speeds?
Think broadband is saying 3.3-3.5mb
On two tests on Speedtest.net says!! 10580mb and 15862mb d/s.
speedtester.BT.com just says it's busy all the time but www.speedtester.BT.com:50302 says just over 4mb.
zdnet.co.uk says 2818kbps
Will my wireless adapter slow it down even though it's running at 54mbps?
Just found and followed the advise to remove all but wires 2 and 5 in the master socket, mine only had sockets 2 to 5 so removed 3 and 4, these are my stats now.

Speed tests are still the same on all sites!! Will i need to leave it a while for it to settle down?
You're physical connection is not the problem. You're sync'd at the full 8 meg, the higher attainable just means it's got more room to breathe if there's any fluctuations.
You're on an LLU connection so the BT speedtest won't work for you and the 10meg results simply show that test is estimating the speed and can throw out some odd results like that sometimes.
Looks like there's some limit in the network somewhere that's preventing the speed running at full.
Could that be Orange limiting it then? Do you think it's worth ringing them to see if there are any problems they can find? Everything at my end looks ok, my PC's not slow and I've only got a simple network.
There's always the possibility it could be down to Orange but it's hard to blame someone and be sure they're the cause. You could ask them to run a line test to look for problems.
