I just want to check this is / isnt an Orange issue before i continue banging my head on the desk!
I have just connected 2 PC's by Ethernet cable (crossover) and have them networked , fine. Transfer files etc etc.
I am using a Speedtouch USB ADSL modem on the "Host" comp, and have set the ICS to share...no probs
On the 2nd "Client" comp the ICS is set up and i can see the Wanadoo connection in the Network Area.
I can even connect the 1st Host comp by d-clicking IE on the 2nd client comp, and see the broadband fire up and connect....but then i cannot get the 2nd client comp to connect to a web page. Just get the "The page cannot be displayed"
I did read somewhere about some ISP's wont allow 2 IP address's to connect on 1 line, is this what is happening by using ICS and 2 PC's and not using a router?
If that isnt a problem i will carry on trying to work it out....

It's not possible to connect 2 x comps thro' 1 x modem. You need a router.....if I'm wrong somebody will soon correct me !

Borednow is right you need a router to network 2 or more PC's for more than one to access the internet either wired or wireless, using a wireless router is the popular option.

With Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), you can connect computers on your home or small office network to the Internet using just one connection. For example, you have one computer that connects to the Internet using a dial-up connection. When ICS is enabled on this computer, called the ICS host, other computers on the network connect to the Internet through this dial-up connection.
No you can connect through one computer if you enable ICS but you must have a crossover ethernet cable.
