Getting very slow response from a number of web sites, including this one.
Traceroute to just about anywhere external looks kind-of like this:

Additionally, I am unable to ping either of the first two hosts after my Livebox in the traceroute results, with a "no route to host" error, which is strange seeing as they're predictably on my route out of Orange...
Each asterisk is a dropped packet (default is 3 at a time).....so there are a lot of dropped packets.
Hop 4 is interesting, it means no response from the first server so Hop 5 server was tried instead......this is Hutchison Darlington (using WhoIs-search.com). This might indicate a problem with some of the Orange servers in the UK.
Also normally any result over 200ms is a latency problem.
Hop 10 was dodgy at 533ms and only one packet successful.
Some servers are set up not to accept pings.
I think you should check your MTU/RWIN settings using the link on here, the amount of dropped packets may indicate your current settings are not the best.

All 3 packets per hop, no asterisks and nothing over 150.381ms. You can see why you're getting a slow response !
