Ok guys, this will probably be my last post on here... I've now recieved my BT broadband connection (which last night was running at 6Mb - despite being told my line would probably only support up to 4.5...). I really do hope you guys get things sorted... I would still heartily reccommend that you all vote with your feet and move providers... the more I read on this forum the more I think your problems are not going to go away anytime soon...
I'd like to say a quick thanks for your support (even if you've not directly replied to any of my posts) and it's thanks to this website I realised how widespread the problem is and how cr@p Orange really are. Finally, it was probably this website which finally convinced me to jump ship. It may have taken 20 days to get back to broadband (thanks in part to a minor cock-up from BT), but at least it's working now!
One final piece of advice... if you do change to broadband with BT, track your order on their website (they have a broadband tracking option which can be found by clicking on the "view my account" button, although you don't need to sign in, just give your phone number). If it says it can't track it or find your details, phone the broadband activation department and check your order has been properly placed!
So, finally, good night everyone (yeah, ok it's 9am) and good luck!
And will the last one out, please turn out the lights?!

Hello Ic3Knight
... and goodbye Ic3Knight !!!
Glad you found this website useful - shame it has to end in a cancellation of your account with Orange - the idea of this website is to try and raise awareness to Orange of the problems their customers are having as clearly, nobody has audited their faults system for a long time! Hopefully, they will start reacting to these OrangeProblems... Though doesn't look like they will any time soon - so maybe you are "best out of it"...
In fact, I am without connection again... I will be updating my post later today... To be honest, I think this will be the final straw for me... Just checking out some ISPs now! I will need to change approx 12 broadband accounts !!! Yes 12 - in various locations - although have only had major problems with one account - and a few on-going problems (disconnecting now and then) with a couple of others. Problem is, I have been with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange for such a long time and have recommended it to many clients! Now I am going to have to do a U-turn - but I obviously want to be happy with the new ISP first before starting to install them in new locations! Joy!
Anyway, all the best with your new ISP - and if you know of anyone with OrangeProblems, you know where to send them!
