Yes, an ethernet connection is perfectly fine to use.
Just plug it in and browse to 192.168.1.1,
Put the password in as "admin",
Go into the Internet section at the top of the menu,
Enter your Orange username and password,
Should come back saying connected in under a minute.

thanks I think the wifi settings was interrupting my connection, disabled and its running better
