My sister has had Orange/Wanadoo Broadband for some time. For the last 18 months or so she has had difficulty connecting to the service and when on-line get frequently cut off especially at busy times (early evening etc)
She rang Wanadoo a few months ago and was told that the distance between her main telephone socket and her computer was too far (it's about 10 metres (max). Mine is further than that and I have never had a problem.
I lost my broadband connection for 111 dyas from 20/6/06.
Every day I rang Orange and was given excuses.
Finally I got fed up and left them, I will be going to Idnet next week when I get my line marker removed.
Previously with Freeserve & Wanadoo I had a 100% stable connection.
Orange have wrecked so many connections, there's posts all over the place on Orange forums and others.
My advice is to leave them ASAP.
I am going to Idnet as they have excellent reviews, low contention, direct customer service that is helpful and in English.
See their site at Idnet.net.
