I have been with Orange "unlimited" for almost a year now. last month an indian chap called me up & from what i could make out of what he was saying my internet would not cost £17.99 a month, not £19.99. so i said yes thats fine & hung-up.
I just checked my Orange email account (which i dont use unless checking what i am being charged) & it states that:
"Thanks for asking us to change your Orange home package to BB Max - £17.99. We're on the case to get you up and running as soon as possible.
Once all the changes are complete, your contract will be renewed for 12 months. You can check out our terms and conditions at www.orange.co.uk/terms."
Does this mean i have been suckered & tied into another 12 month contract with these people? or can a cancel anytime as my original 12 months is up?
i have not contacted them in any way yet as i am waiting to see if anyone has had the same issues on this site.
I will not be impressed if i am stuck with this lying "unlumited" package for another year!

Oh dear - did you really think there wouldn't be a catch? A change in package does lead to a new contract.
Luckily when I got the call I knew exactly what the catch was, and told them very firmly where to go (despite several protestations from the call centre chap who obviously wasn't used to the trick not working).
Unfortunately your experience is not unique. You could complain that this was not stated to you, but be prepared for major hassle.
Moral of the story - never ever sign up to a service from a sales call.....
