A week ago my internet connection was cut off with no explanation as to why.
I didn't recieve a letter or an E-mail, so after phoning around what seemed like half the population of India I finally got an explanation of what was going on.
Apparently I am being upgraded to the LLU exchange.
A letter or an E-mail would have been nice so as to save me from going around my house trying to diagnose the problem. Was it my end or their's!!
I had no idea.
I decided to send an E-mail from work to find out from the registered office at Orange of what was going on. this was their reply.

As per records, the upgrade on the line will be completed by Monday.

Ahh yes the dreaded LLU!
This basically means that Orange are putting their equipment into the telphone exchange for your broadband connection.
If you're lucky enough to ever get a connection then most people find they get regular disconnections, slow speeds etc.
I got put onto LLU about 18 months ago and it was never right afterwards, eventually I had no connection for 2 weeks so I left.
With the new provider the connection was perfect and never disconnected once since.
