Hello everybody!
I have been using the free Orange broadband service (comes with Orange mobile subcribstion) for a long time. Not sure how long. Maybe 2 years. The norman speed was 2mb but then i moved house a couple of months ago, My speed then increased to 4mb? And could download at around 550 kilobytes/s. But now for some reason it has gone down and can't download over 470 kilobytes/s. I upload around 380kilobits.
Here is the information of my livebox:

Noise margin (dB) : 5.5
Attenuation (dB) : 22.0
Attainable download rate (kbps) : 5440

Downstream Upstream
Rate (kbps) 4928 448

Can anyone help me resolve this issue please. It would be very helpful.

Run a test and post what the IP Profile is, I expect that may be the limiting factor. If those line stats are stable it should automatically go up within 3 days.

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 4928 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 3712 kbps

These are the reuslts i got.
Im not an expert, but does this mean i am meant to be getting: 4928 kbps?

Nothing out of the ordinary there. It showed you got close to 4000kbps actual download speed so speed problems are then contention or network congestion. Time of day, site and how you're downloading then all play a part.
