I got in from work tonight and my Download speeds are terrible.
I did the Speed Test at speedtester.BT.com and got:
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 135 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 2464 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 116 kbps
I was getting about 6Meg connection speed before xmas and suddenly I am getting absolutely terrible speeds. So even the DSL connection rate DOWN-STREAM seems low.
I have not changed anything in the house to get these speed changes could this be a faulty filter just gone on the blink or something on the exchange, or what?
Who do I speak to about this, I don't like the sound of ringing customer support but I think a lot of head banging is coming my way!

Firstly it could be any of those thats causing the speed loss but it's best you check through as much as you can at your end before contacting them as they'll want you to do that anyway.
The low profile shows something big happened that dropped the speed, you may want to reboot your modem/router as it may be a resync shows a new higher downstream rate. As the profile is low you'll need to watch the rate to see any changes.
Once you've checked your filters, unplugged everything else, tried at the master/test socket if the rate is still roughly the same then call tech support.
