Just before Christmas I had the e-mail from Orange "Your Orange home package - we're making some changes"

I signed up for Orange home with up to 8mb back in October and I was getting a connection speed of 2.4meg. Now after and I quote "moving my line to a better network" I am capped at 1.1meg. After an hour on the phone to customer services I got nowhere but she did point out to me that my line was capable of speeds upto 3. meg but in order to get that I would have to sign up for another 18 months.

From reading this forum I assume this is due to the migration to LLU??
Has anyone managed to get these caps removed and if so any suggestions how to go about it?

First thing that stands out is that you are on a fixed 1mb line so your speed will not go above 1mb.

Not very good if you are on an up to 8mb service. Could be worse some are on 608 which is about 0.5 mb.

For the reason you will have to ask Orange. Until you ask for a MAC code they will not take the cap off.

Don't agree to another contract, the are not supplying an up to 8 contract but a fixed 1mb.
