Orange have just launched their home phone service allowing existing and new customers to switch their telephone line to Orange - keeping the same telephone number but now paying Orange for the line rental and telephone calls.

We'd love to hear from you if you have signed up to this package.

First thing I have noticed with the home phone service from Orange is that my number is no longer withheld and there is no way to set this up. Unlike with the VOIP service.

Also Call minder is auto turned on and it cannot be turned off. No doubt thay will be charging for this soon without telling anyone.

The call minder service is free for 6 months, so the details say, no idea of the cost after that. Though it could be turned off on request though.

As for withheld number if you've not spoken to the home phone section then you'd be best off talking to them.
