Hi – at present, I have my PC connected to my Livebox via Homeplugs (Develo), which works very well. The kids have had a PS3 for Christmas and I am trying to get them on-line, and my understanding is the simplest route is via a wired connection (ie Homeplugs again).
I assume that I will merely remove the Homeplug from my PC and instead put it into a mains socket next to the PS3, and connect the PS3 and homeplug via Ethernet. The PS3 and Livebox are then directly connected (cutting out the PC), but thereafter I am stuck. All of the guidance seems to be re how to configure wireless connections but as this is "wired" I am not sure what I have to do / not do.
It took me some time to get my Livebox running smoothly and I am not confident enough to just wade in with the configuration menus so could someone PLEASE give me a simple, step by step guide on how to go on-line (I am most scared that I will c*ck up my PC connection if I start playing around with the Livebox settings !)
Many thanks for any help you can give - please assume I am a total numpty !

Read the above, I'm on PS3 wirelessly and a complete techno spaz but somehow managed to set up very easily!
Contact me if you need help!

Well if homeplugs simply forward the network connection, which is how I imagine they work, then you should be able to just connect them up and have it work straight away. If they need any configuration then the setup for the PC should have already done it so you change it over and it just works.
That would leave the PC without a connection so it may be worth trying the wireless option first as suggested.
