Hello all - great site - plenty to read here
my live box is the best (think stronger!).
fortunately, my mate worked for wanadoo, and was the man in charge of setting up installs when Livebox started - so twas all in his hands...
However, I would like to work off-line from time to time, especially when creating web pages on my box - How can I switch off Livebox and know for sure that when I switch on again it will be connected and still configured correctly???
last time I tried it, I lost my connection and had to use a system restore to get it back...!
what's the secret guys
Lou
Well normally, unless it's mid update which the lights flashing differently should show, you should be able to just turn off the power. It shouldn't lose any settings or need anything done for it to reconnect onto the broadband.
Wired connections should just automatically reconnect when it's turned back on. Wireless also should reconnect automatically although on some occasions you may need to prod them to reconnect.
There's also an alternative by enabling and disabling the internet connection in the livebox itself.
Not tried those but seen them posted somewhere else. If it asks for a username and password they're both "admin".
When offline the @ light should flash slowly compared to being solid when connected.
