Hello
I have had a Livebox for several years and apart from original installation problems it has been ok. I currently have it installed and working on my laptop as the "full wireless installation" It was installed on my PC as the "additional installation" but a while ago I had to uninstall it from my PC and when I tried to reinstall, the installation disc only takes me to "preparing the installation wizard! and no further. I disable the firewall and Norton etc, also I have uninstalled Adobe Flash Player - I read somewhere about that possibly causing a problem.
Nothing makes any difference. There does not appear to be anything wrong with the cd as I have tried it on a friends computer. I am running Windows XP. The trouble is I do not know a great deal about this sort of thing and I am hoping someone can advise me.

Wired - plug the cable in and it should work automatically.
Wireless - you need to view the list of available networks, select your livebox and click connect. When it asks for the key enter the one from the sticker exactly but without the spaces, then press the 1 button on the livebox so the antenna light is flashing before ok'ing the key.
Thanks very much four reply. However I am not having any success. It is the wireless connection I am trying to make. I have done as you suggested ie selected the livebox and enterred the key [ I presume this is the wep key on the base of the livebox ? ] This is the one I have enterred, being careful I have it right. I have pressed the button on the livebox, the light is flashing but at the end of all this it tells me "the network requires a network key. You are currently connected to this network " The number I have is a series of 4 numbers and characters in 6 blocks plus 2 extra numbers on the end. It is the one I used when making the full installation. I don't know if I am being a complete idiot with all this. I have the small flat Inventel box attached to a usb port and this has a continuous green light. There are no other connections between the PC and the livebox but of course the livebox is connected to the telephone socket via filters.
Can I try anything else.
