I did a test on speedtester.BT.com too, the results mean nothing to me, but are below for you guys.
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 135 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 2688 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 91 kbps
The 16kbs I'm downloading it as conistant, I wont go above or drop below that, if i'm downloading a song or whatever it will remain at a constant 16kbs until it is done.

Something has caused the system to reduce the IP profile, which is limiting the speed.
Normally this corrects itself if the connection is stable within 3 days, yours is showing stats good enough for a 2 meg profile. If you want to be proactive then run the BT speedtest a couple of times a day and note down the downstream rate and IP profile at the time. The main thing to watch for is if/when they change. (The downstream rate will most likely change if you turn off your router/modem at all, if you do it's important how much the rate changes when it reconnects)
