I am currently with Orange with the wirless and talk box for 21 pound a month.
Im happy with the service and would recomend it. But advertised on the internet and i even had a letter. I can get a contract mobile from Orange for over 30pound a moth and the price of the broadband is lowered.
Orange wont let me get the contract phone they say i do no have the credit but they are alreaady talking 21pound a month no problems with credit there. I had a credit check done and all it came up was with when i tryed purching the Orange contract phone and was refused.
Why is this is this because im a current customer and really they only like giving this deal to attract in new customers?
Well with your current package you're unlikely to run up a huge bill that you can't afford to pay, where as with a mobile or landline that can happen. It's simply a precaution they take with all mobile accounts and broadband ones where you get the landline included too. AFAIK it's no weighted towards new customers as I've heard of a few failing the credit check and they're mainly new customers.
