I just thought I'd share this as it's taken me a while to work out how to do it... I use Firefox and I used the Orange livebox installation cd not realising it would mess with my browser. Apart from the annoying 'orange' branding and toolbar I was also constantly getting network connection errors. Whatever the the cd did proved difficult to track down, but eventually I discovered that you can boot firefox in 'safe' mode from the Start:Programs:Mozilla Firefox menu ( you should see a 'safe mode' option here, if not you can also do 'Run; Firefox.exe - safemode). You have to have closed firefox down before doing this. You then get a menu listing various options that can be permanently disabled, and I selected all of them apart from the 'default bookmarks' option. This seems to have got rid of all the rubbish although I've had to re-install some themes and plug-ins. You can read more at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Fire...fox_FAQs . I hope this helps some other victims of the installation cd!
