i have had ppp server down now for over a month, i have phone Orange about 50million times, with no joy.
i have tried all the surguestion thats been posted still nothing,
i spoke (well shouted) to someone at Orange yesterday and told them i wanted cancel my contract (ends in june) they said they would put me thought to someone else who could cancel it,then came back on to the phone and said i would have to phone back later.
what do i do now i still want to cancel can't wait to get away from Orange,
is it my right to cancel without been charged has i have had no conecttion for more then 30 days.
i have also been reading about MAC code do i need this as well,
I would choose the unable to connect option, although you do a MAC code yes - I assume you haven't had the chance to request this yet.
As part of the complaint explain how long your connection has not been working for and when you first called Orange about the problem, and that you want out. This contact via the ISPA should get your contract waived and a MAC code
i rang Orange again this morning, asked to cancell and said i wanted a MAC code
first this girl said i would have to pay £62.50, told her was not paying anything, her reply was ok just one minute, the next thing she came back said she had cancelled the account with no charges, i said what about MAC code she reply you cant have one once the account has been closed, so you'll have to wait 10 days before you can go to a new ips.
now i'm not sure what to do? anyone got any adivce

Hi Lisa
As usual Orange have been plain spiteful closing your account instead of offering you a MAC knowing full well it takes longer to switch that way and will incur an activation charge with your new provider
Ive been with Be* (belongs to 02) for nearly a year and have had no problems whatsoever, its all according what your after the 02 option would benefit you if you have an 02 mobile contract as its cheaper and your exchange is 02/Be enabled, check here at the ISP ratings and customers comments to help you narrow it down a bit, personally i wouldn't touch Talk Talk with a 10ft bargepole lol
Good luck with your choice.

A run-down of the various broadband packages available are here on OrangeProblems.co.uk - click here for the page with their good and bad points noted!
While we do not list all internet service providers' packages (yet - we are adding more in the very near future), we do also have a list of the majority of ISPs here
