I have been having continual connection issues for over a month now it started following the infamous " we are upgrading our service " etc etc
The Connection speed varies between 5.7 max and 3.0 lowest
During the day the connection is generally healthy for several hours , but come 4-00pm / 5-00pm in an evening the issues start
My connection lasts for 5/10 minutes maximum before disconnecting and then i get PPP server connection before i connect again for a further 5 minutes or so and this continues over and over again
I have gone through the usual phone calls and e mails with customer service /technical support ,changed filters , had line tests supposedly carried out
had an e mail aying line was tested and engineers were working on the fault , which is just a standard response form what people have said and have been told by Orange this was setn in error
They have since failed to respond to e mails and havent come up with any other suggestions as to whats happening and whay they are attempting to do
Nothing is the answer i expect
I see people have been having lot of livebox conenction issues but they same to be getting little or no connection all the time
my connection at times is very good and speeds are still fairly good
HAs anyne else having similar issues and come across any possibl solutions
I am suffering the same problem with my Livebox.
During the day its fine but after 4pm its either ppp server down or re syncing, connecting for a while then re syncing again.
Been calling Orange every few days to get a different excuse and told to wait another 5 working days for a resolution.
I was told its a problem at the exchange CLSTE (Stepney Green London), would be interested to know if anyone else is having the "dusk disconnects" especially if your on the same exchange.
I would like to stay with Orange but it seems the only solution for people with problems is to find an alternate ISP and I think this is what Orange want too !.
Yes I'm afraid usually the only way to get a decent connection is to move to a real ISP.
It's such a relief once you move to have a stable connection and good support though.
I've never looked back since moving in August 2006 after the excuses with Orange.
