< Problems with other Wanadoo / Orange Connections? ~ 8mb

I joined Orange Broadband in August this year. I am supposed to be getting 8mb. I have a pop up box in the icon tray which tells me I am connected at 100Mbps. Not knowing how this approximates to 8 mb's I was wondering if someone could tell me please? It also doesn't sound like Orange are a good ISP to be with. I am locked into an 18 month contract. I lose my connection sometimes but I just unplug the Livebox from the mains and plus it back in and it works.

Roseby,

First off, you are on an UP TO 8meg connection, but you won't see that.........it's technically not possible.

Post your router stats here, but delete any personal data and IP addresses.

Also run www.speedtester.BT.com and post also

Thanks. When you say 'post your router stats' I'm not sure what you mean - sorry still got 'L' plates on tech stuff...

The bit he missed off was...

Go into the system information section and the bit you want is the ADSL section. Make sure to remove your username before posting it along with any IP addresses eg 91.135.13.96
