Only just found the forum - looks very interesting!
Anyhow, I have been a Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange customer for a long time and haven't experienced any major problems (touch wood) - just a few niggles now and again.
A couple of weeks ago I received a phone call from Orange offering to upgrade my broadband package. I was paying £17.99 per month and encouraged to move over to Home Max at £24.00. I declined that offer so was told Orange would supply me a 'free' Livebox and all the trimmings for the same price (£17.99) though I'd be starting a new contract. Fine by me.
The livebox came and I have connected two wireless laptops no problem.
Here comes the issue...
My package is now called "Broadband Max". I have no idea what is included in this package. Do I get free second line calls? How is it different from Home Max? I can find no reference to this package on Orange's own site. They have a 'broadbandmax' page but this only makes reference to Home Max. Are Broadband Max and Home Max the same thing? I'm very confused.
To my knowledge "Broadband Max" specifically is no longer available to new subscribers, it's a retention-type package for current customers only.
Not sure if it includes the phone calls package and you're probably on a new 18 month contract !!......worth checking exactly what T&Cs you've got with Orange.
