Well more than 6 months into my contract my livebox finally died.
Switched on one morning and was met with a solitary red light. Tried the reboot scenario - and nothing!
Finally got thru to some half-baked "technical adviser" in India, who informed me in broken english that my Ethernet lead was the problem. I informed him that I had changed leads, double checked everything. He then "apologised for the misdiagnosis" and now informed me that the power adapter was at fault. I disagreed with this, and checked the 15v output - all normal.
After more than 6 calls to their "technical dept" I was told that "you're livebox is faulty!" (mumbai accent stressed), and "that I am telling you, your account is active!
Needless to say I did finally manage to persuade them to ship out another, which now works. Stick to your guns with these slippery characters. Log every call you make, copy every detail - And BTW I was threatened with a £100 charge if I did not return the old (now scrap piece of junk)!
