My 85 year old Dad has been "upgraded" from Wanadoo to Orange. He was using an SpeedTouch USB modem and is now the proud possesor of an Orange Livebox.
Normally, when he has a problem with his pc, he invites me through MSN to give remote assistance. Now, since the Livebox is installed, it won't work anymore. I get a message (on my site) that there are network problems.
Is there anybody out there who has experienced the same problem and has found a solution for it?

Yes i have as i help a few via remote regularly i have been using Teamviewer for quite a while now its secure quick simple and free you can download it from HERE you will find you don't have the problems that you do via MSN and its much quicker, it also has a transfer file and chat facility as well as remote.
Just make sure you allow it in your firewall.

For chat, Miranda is quite a good tool. It pools together different chat clients such as ICQ, MSN etc, and is not reliant on the activeX that MSN needs
