hi
i have recently started using Orange and their livebox and must admit have found it to be ok (slow but hey its cheap!)
one problem i have though is i recently installed Outllook 2007 and it worked fine for the first time but since then i cant get it to connect to any of my email accounts. The fault says that it is unable to connect to server. i have installed thunderbird but that too cant connect. When trying to connect using a laptop via wireless connection it comes up with the same problem.
I am assuming it is set up right (and have checked it so many times but all seems ok and the fact it is on 2 seperate computers on 3 different email accounts leads me to think it must be the actual connection thats at fault.
Anyone have any ideas on what to try next?

Assuming that you can't send emails, try specifying one of these Orange smtp servers in Accounts > Properties > Servers :

193.252.22.138 or 139 or 140

thanks for the reply.
i cant receive any mail. for the 3 accounts i have with different ISPs i get the same message what makes me think things arent getting beyond the livebox.
where are you saying accounts? outlook? explorer?

Outlook but if it's receiving, it's not that, smtp is outgoing.

Are emails staying in Orange webmail ?

If yes, I have to ask this (!!)....are your settings correct for downloading into Outlook ?
