Hi,
I have a live box with Orange I was hassled night and day to take on this contract for Orange and finally I took it on. I have had nothing but problems with Orange the Livebox has never worked, I cant get the free phone calls promised as apparently I need 2 phones and also I would have to change my phone number which I cant do as I have 2 disabled children. Finally I have had enough and asked for my MAC code. I have been on the phone for an hour and a half I have been told to ring countless different numbers and all the time I have been told that I cant have my MAC code unless I pay for it. When I pointed out that I do not have to pay for it they said that as I was under contract I would have to pay over £300.00 to get my MAC code. Finally after speaking to numerous representatives I was put through to a supervisor who said fine I can have the code but if I try to use it then they will debit that money from my account using the details I provided. I said I gave them permission to debit £19.99 a month from my account not £300.00 and he said well thats what will happen if I attempt to use the MAC code. I feel like i have been threatened and I am really worried. I still havent got the code I have to wait on it to come in the post but I am sick to death of Orange they are obnoxious, rude and now threatening. Please help can they take this money from my account and what can I do about all of this. Sorry its such a long post but I am so worried. Thank you. Elayne

Unfortunately, yes they can take £300 from your account unless you have had 30 days not connected and have a record of calls to Technical Services.

But why not give us some more information and let's see if we can get your livebox working.

There are plenty of people on here that have had the same problems and can help you.

Post again and explain exactly what the livebox lights are doing and what other problems you're seeing.

There seems to be a little confusion about the second line service.

To use it you need to connect a phone to the livebox, it's recommended to have 2 phones so you can use your landline as normal as well. You don't have to change your number, the second line gets it's own number so you can use both at once with calls in or out.

As Borednow said, what is the problem with the livebox and we'll see what we can suggest.
