My connection speed went from 2MB top 1MB a couple of days ago. Just rang Orange technical support and was told it's because Orange have moved to a "new technology" infrastructure and that my speed was in the acceptable limits for my package - I'm so angry - it's like taking your 2 litre engined car into the garage for a service and coming away with a 1 litre.
Anybody else had this - it's even more frustrating after the "Your Orange home package - we're making some changes" message telling me I might get a faster line........... I'm not cynical but when I tried to check my broadband account it was locked because an "order" (which I know nothing about) was being processed - as soon as the "order" was processed my connection speed halves........
608 is a very big indication it's now on LLU, it's one of the static speeds used and isn't one used by IPStream connections AFAIK.
If it's just changed it may take a few days to settle and could increase your speed up then. Otherwise you'd need to get them to run a line check to see if it comes up with anything.
