Hey guys, I could really do with some advice seeing as the Orange customer service guy was no help at all...
Right, my problem is this - A few weeks ago my home PC suddenly stopped being able to load up any websites other than Google. It connects to the internet via speedtouch, loads up Google (my homepage) and even allows me to do searches on google, but the second I try to load up anything else it just wont do it....
However, because the Internet was still working perfectly on my laptop I put the problem down to the fact my PCs old (windows 98.) and left it at that.
Now yesterday I brought a wireless router (D-Link DKT-710) and the same thing has started happening on my laptop too. It connects wirelessly to the net, again google and any google searches load up, but the second I try to load other sites it dosnt work. When I plug speedtouch back in, it all starts working again.
So a) Could this be down to the router I just brought? If so, isnt it a coincidence that both my PC and laptop have the same problem even though only my laptop is wireless?
and b) is there any advice you guys could give me as to how to sort it out?
Thank you so much mate! You've just solved the problem. It took the guy at the call center nearly 20 mins and the best he could come up with was to take my PC and my laptop back to the vendor.

4 weeks ago both my desktop (4 years old running XP) and laptop (1 week old with Vista Home Premium) started with this issue. Rang the now infamous Orange tech support who knew less about PCs than I and I'm no expert - simply an internet surfer. After many phone calls the detail of which I wont bore you with (but left me well p***ed off) I returned back to work after the Xmas break yesterday, did a bit of googling, found this website and threads, went home and lo and behold a bit of pinging and MTU changes later on my wireless router and Vista settings (as noted elsewhere) everything works once more! Many thanks to all and this site is now logged as one of my favourites!
Cheers to the real technical support guys & girls here.
