I've just set up my Livebox after using the service for several weeks with my old Belkin F5D7633 router (until it mysteriously started returning "Access denied" when trying to connect), and am having trouble getting the router to stay connected to the Internet.
I have a program running on one of my machines that checks it can connect to a remote server once every 5 minutes. It seems that on average about 5 times per day it fails to connect because the network connection is down. This did not happen with my old router.
The Belkin still isn't working. Seems to be broken in some way, I guess.
As for what happens when the problem with the Livebox occurs, I have no idea. I've never been in the room with the livebox when it has happened. From the room with my computer in, though, what happens is this: all requests for web pages return an error for about 1 minute, and then the livebox connection state page says "Your Current Broadband connection has been established for : 1 minute" when I request it after it comes back. My PC doesn't notice a disconnect/connect on the network, so I don't think the entire box is switching off or anything like that, it's just the ADSL connection goes down and comes back up again.
If you can still access the livebox config and it shows that sort of connection time then it's lost the connection for a moment and then reconnected. Is everything filtered and your wiring ok?
