I joined wanadoo/orange when the first started to offer broadband. I joined just after the change from freeserve to wanadoo.
Since then i have had perfect internet access from them (must be one of a kind reading so of the posts on forum) i only had 1 fault were i couldnt connect and that was becuase of BT messing with the lines in my area. I upgraded my speed being told by Orange i could only get 2MBPS. But every other provider tells me i can have 8MBPS. I have e-mailed Orange 4 times in the last month and still no answer yet the answer my other questions. I should recive a free speed upgrade to 8MPBS as i am on braodband plus as i upgraded to.
BT told me when i called i should be able to get 8MBPS being close to my exchange.
On oranges website http://www.orange.co.uk/time/8...meg.htm It says i should of got 8MBPS by april 2006 its now august. I not borthered really about speed but when i am being told i can get 8MBPS and i payed £20.00 to upgrade i am not happy.
I am currently on 2MBPS But other people in my area can get 6.5MPBS even my friend next door (not with Orange).
So i just thought i let people know that the website http://www.orange.co.uk/time/8...meg.htm is incorrect as i dont not yet have 8MBPS with Orange but other people with other providers DO!
Great minds think alike !, I am in the same situation and have just sent an email to the M.D. for definative answer to a number of points including why I was told 8meg would be available in April on Nuneaton exchange......, still waiting although Bulldog is live, Carphone later this month and Sky next month.
