OK Cool
I don't know if you remember me mentioning the constant revolving egg timer in firefox last time, well I did it in IE this time and got the progress bar so warmer about this update than the last one.
The one thing I've always found a little odd is on the Advanced -> LAN IP -> Address reservation page I have devices set up against the MAC addresses, but on Maintainance -> Attached Devices the name never shows, even though it's the same as the laptop set up above? Does your uberGT firmware have similar pages?

Hiya sweeperdog
yes i do remember i use FireFox too and your right occasionally it doesn't show the progress bar if that happens i usually just wait till the LED lights are steady, i never use IE but next time will use it to upgrade.
Yes its identical but with a few extra options at the bottom like altering your snr, i use the address reservation and static routes and have DHCP switched off, in the Attached Devices bit only whats attached and active at that time will show up there or did you mean nothing shows up at all?

Sorry what meant was the "device name" allocated to the MAC address in LAN IP Setup doesn't show in "Attached Devices" - it just says "unkown". It shouldn't be a problem I don't think, I'm just checking to make sure only devices I know about are attached
Also I found that update screwed up my wireless, so had to go back to the previous version. In fact while I was at it, I reduced all my MTU settings to 1430 (to see if it fixed my "slow browsing" problem), and that didn't work (I shouldn't expect it to really since the laptop when connected via the LAN cable was fine). I changed the channel number, that didn't work. While I was reloading the old firmware, the laptop attached itself to the wireless while the progress bar was at about 75%, so it does look like that update doesn't agree with me for some reason (even though the router MTU was maintained at 1430 throughout)
Sorry folks for the ramble, but at least Steve put it in Talk Technical where it belongs

Oh really it will be interesting to see what others say about it which won't be long as its a popular router.
Ahh i see yes it is the same in mine i get unknown in the attached devices too even though ive labelled them in address reservation bit.
