Unless there's concrete+steel re-inforced floor between the livebox and equipment you should be able to wirelessly connect.......or have I misunderstood your problem ?
My router is tucked away upstairs, my PC, printer etc is downstairs.....no problems.
Have you tried working through the channels available to see if a different one helps improve the connection before you go out and buy something you may not need?
Yes I know wi-fi would work IF it was possible to enable the devices I'm discussing.
What I need to do is connect a wireless access point/router to the live box so that I can enjoy using my printers and ethernet storage drives I have which are upstairs in my 'office' room. The phone line is downstairs, along with the livebox.
I know that you can get access points which can connect to other routers, but am having issue identifying one which will work with the livebox.
Obv PC World staff arent much help, and manufacturers will only commit to saying that devices will only work with their own kit.
