I visisted two of my customers today with Orange connection problems that have caused lack of Internet for days/weeks.
In both cases the DSL was fine but LCP kept coming up and then going down again. I replaced the router with no success. As Orange don't support foreign routers, I added a standard Speedtouch 330 USB modem which connected immediately. I then disconnected and put the telephone lead into the router socket again. All routers connected immediately without changing any settings.
What is going on here?
Do Orange check for valid devices at random or specific intervals and disable accounts if none are found?
