I had problems when given the free(yeah) upgrade to 8Mb last year and promptly went off-line for 2 months.
I've had reasonable service up until about 6 weeks ago. Major DNS problems since then though! I could get most .co.uk domains, but not most .com domains and anything slightly unusual like (duh) news.bbc.co.uk were unobtainable.
and can recommend trying PPPoE if you can. It's certainly cured my DNS problems. Would be nice if Orange told us about it.... or tell us any thing really!
Was just about to change over to BT but was stalling because I could still VPN into work, my main priority. Doesn't mean I wont change though.
