Hi got a bit of a problem and am hoping someone can help
first we used to be a Wanadoo customer and all was fine for the last few years, no loss of service etc. then out of the blue on Tuesday of last week our internet stopped working. we checked all the cables etc , changed filters . no change.
So did a bit of troublshooting with the router (a netgear wireless one. though all pc's cabled in) first it reports the adsl line as connected ( reports connection speed for ul and dl) , hit connection status and it runs and says Chap authentication failed. So we suspect the router and try Three others of different brands makes etc ( belkin / trillion and second netgear) same thing, no internet. I can use a dial up account and access my email online and view my account , so don't think i've been suspended ?
the login username and password is correct according to the online account page and my own records (it's the old ****.wanadoo.co.uk@fs ).
Have you changed your password in your Orange member centre area at some point. It sounds a bit like you may have changed your password in the member area, but it hasn't propogated to the broadband bit
If this goes Pete Tong, they should be able to identify you from name, postcode and login etc
