I don't believe you can set the livebox SSID to invisible but you can change it to something less obvious from the config pages.
Yeah it does have bluetooth though it's supposed to be dormant at the moment.
If you check out Orange France they already have the video on demand, livezoom (webcam), photoblogging (bluetooth auto photo uploading to website) and video phone services. There may be others too but I'm too tired to remember right now.
Without a doubt they'll introduce them, it's the way the markets going, offer things really cheap or offer more services.
Provided you've got a WEP key of some sort fitted, I don't think there's much to worry about to be honest. I know that it's better to hide the SSID, but anybody wanting to use someone else's internet connection wouldn't be hard pressed to find one without any security at all.
If they can get in somewhere with no effort at all, why go through the hassle of trying to work out a WEP code on someone else's router?

I have a friend, just gone to live in France but not organised an ISP yet.
He was on Wanadoo over here so obviously looked at Oranges offerings over there.
He is going to double check his translations of the Orange contract , but says it appears that once you are in with Orange in France the only way to get out of the contract is to die!!
Do you know of any severe contract tie ins over the channel?
We don't get to really hear anything about the French side of things, closest we get is when someone who can't speak French complains because we can't help them.
