stumbled across this site (which has already helped me alot so far) after hours of trying to sort my livebox out myself after i couldn't get the damn cd to work i decided to look online...
1st off the cd wouldnt budge off the 1st screen, you helped with that
2ndly the Orange broadband wouldn't finish at the end... where it said trying to connect it came up witha complete lie about my firewall being on...but its not, it hasnt been on for about a year now
3rdly now my wireless adapter software keeps trying to connect to the livebox it connects for a second then disconnects, then connects for a second then disconnects.. this goes on well it'd still be goin on if i hadnt turned it off
4thly if i view my wireless connections, its seemed to have found my livebox no problem but it says "acquiring networks connections"
ive found quite a few threads and some trash on other sites about helping if you have a laptop but im using a PC
after 4 hours now of goin through the same things, over and over again and goin up and down the stairs over and over again im gettin bored of it and im almost tempted to just throw it out the window.. hopefully it'll burst into flames!!!

View available networks and select your livebox (name on it's sticker),
Enter the key into the boxes it needs to be capitals with no spaces using A-F and 0-9 only,
Press the 1 button on the livebox so the antenna light is flashing,
Click connect and it should go through.
Desktop/laptop shouldn't matter, in fact laptops are usually a little harder as they need to have their wireless turned on as it's often off to save power.
i did go thru all the stickies but nothing seemed to help
ive fixed it, but it only seems to connect fine with my livebox when i plug my usb modem line into the phone line otherwise it doesnt seem to connect... anyhoo suppose this is another step of a big problem this has been when surely it shud of just been straight forward!!!
ive restarted my comp a couple times and seems to disconnect the network and "aquiring the address" again! but anyhoo im connected for the moment so im just gonna let it work until it breaks and then i'll set fire to it and jump out the window!!!
