Iv been with Orange for a about 4months everything was fine untill then.
i noticed my connection on the 8meg livebox it kept droping out and then just went down compleatly so i reported this.
Technical advisos advised me and promised me it wil be fixed in 2 working days i said thats fair enough.
2 days go by and still not working.
I rang the technical helpdesk he advised me if its still not working then we will escalate this and it will be fixed in 5 working days.
I said fair enough after 5 working days still nothing my broadband not working and I have had no updates from them so I ring them again.
The technical helpdesk advisor advises me it has not been fixed so they will escalate this and will be fixed in 5 working days. (sound familier)
I advised him i was advised this last time he advises me no this is the first time we are escalating your problem.
hmmmm so i ask what have you guys been doing on my line for almost the past 2weeks?

I ask to speak to a manager
manager he says his names Jake Thomas (from india) he advises me (in India there technical help desk is very limited and i should try and speak to someone in the UK as they are better equiped to resolve my query.
Im gob smacked, I ask him what is the point of a technical helpdesk in india if you cant do anything.
his response I am very sorry but your query will be looked at and fixed 5 working days but if you need more answeres it is best to speak to someone in the UK.
I ask ok how do i speak to someone from the uk in technical department he advised there is no number what I have to do is keep ringing untill i get an advisor from the UK.
I asked him are you serious he advises yes.
This point I just put the phone down on him. And refused to ring the technical helpdesk (if a manager is saying they cannot do much then there is something seriously wrong there.
cut the long story short i rang customer services made a big hoo haa advised them exactly what has happened and i got my MAC code and broadband cancelled without any cancellations fees.
i had 8months remaining on my contract.
I am now with Sky little bit more expensive but no problem so far and iv got double the speed.
there is my story and im happy iv got out of Orange the worst customer service technical help you will ever get.
my advise get out while you can make a big fuss dont get off the phone untill you are satasfied with the response thats how i got mine cancelled without any cancellation fees.

If you have a mobile contract and you are only paying 5pounds a month and you want to cancel without paying any fees, downgrade your package to the free service and cancel, they cant charge you if they are giving you the service free.
