I tried to connect up my Livebox to my powerbook using airport on friday night, and Im still going...!!!
My airport can see the Livebox and has good signal strength, it also clams to be connected to it (internet connect), I have connected to the Livebox ip, and played with the settings but still no joy. It does tell me that Im receiving a broadband connection, but am not connected to the internet........ AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH
Please help....!! Im losing my hair rapidly....!! its properly really simple......
Can you access the livebox pages (192.168.1.1) through the connection?
If so log in and go into the internet section within services, what status does it show?
hey thanks, yeah I could access the ip addy, i eventually changed the ppp_name to my user and password, and hey bingo it worked a treat....BUT...!!! as of yesterday my live box decided to die...!! the >> light is staying on,,,, turn off the power, left the power on, did a restart, which made the center 3 lights stay on..... until i turn the power off and on again...!!!
It's a firmware problem and needs to be recovered. You can try going through it yourself if you have access to a PC but it will be a good idea to call Orange either way.
