< Livebox Issues? ~ main pc loses connection every night

Hi all im getting totally frustrated with this connection now...
Every night at about the same time my pc loses connection while the wireless laptop will still work if i turn off the main pc monitor.
There are no conflicts and everything works fine in the day so why not at night????
And why should turning off the main pc monitor make such a differenc to the wireless connection on the laptop??????

It sounds like it could be an electrical conflict to do with the monitor. Is it CRT or LCD ? Tried hooking up another monitor ?

Tried changing channels ?

Anything else electrical that switches on or off at around the time of disconnection ?

its a crt monitor and the connection is lost all night but works fine in the day. Nothing else goes on or off near the pc when connection is lost?

And all you need do, is to switch off the CRT monitor, just the monitor leaving the PC switched on and the laptop stays connected ?

Or does the laptop lose connection then re-connects when you switch the monitor off ?

And the PC is hard-wired or wireless ?

Yes all we do is switch of the pc monitor leaving the pc running and the livebox click as tho it is resetting itself, the laptop then works but if we turn on the monitor again connection is lost, but why at night???

Why does the laptop connect when you turn off the monitor ?

Simple fault finding procedure, eliminate each item in the chain.

CRTs build up heat > dry joints > loose connections etc

Seems like whatever channel ur using something is effecting it what u use at night triggers it off give it a go i find channel 6 is the best for me or 11 channel 1 interferes with my cordless phone for instance.
On channel 4 all i get is Big brother "joking" Very Happy
